Pöttinger EUROTOP RAKES
Take a look at a Pöttinger TOP rake and you'll soon realise that the centre hub - housing the cam-track - is a bigger diameter than most. That's because in heavy crop conditions, the rake arm bearings are placed under less stress when positioned further apart - a massive 60cms apart on Pöttinger 's Eurotop 421N for example. The cam track itself (the heart of all rakes) is 42cms. in diameter. Not only does it provide better bearing support, it provides more graduations in its curves to give smoother tine action.

      TOPTECH CAM TRACK
The large diameter ductile graphite iron TOPTECH cam track has been computer developed to optimise raking performance whilst minimising wear. Hardened steel cam rolers with ball bearings run inside a completely sealed housing. The bearings in the tine arms
are separated by 600mm and located tangentially to give the maximum possible distance between the bearings and the rotor shaft. This arrangement minimises stress, extends service lift and provides the best possible raking performance.

Multitast rotor suspension
"MULTITAST" ROTOR SUSPENSION SYSTEM (Option)
The "Multitast" system effectively guides the rake arms over undulating ground to minimise soil contamination and assist in producing high quality forage. This is achieved by two separate controls:

1. Each rotor features a knuckle type joint to the carrying frame which enables the rotor to deflect by a controlled amount (the joint can easily be locked to work conventionally).

2. A jockey wheel mounted ahead of each rotor senses the humps and hollows and guides the rotor to the optimum working angle to minimise scalping. It is a simple, but very effective solution to an age old problem in quality silage making - avoiding soil contamination. With MULTITAST ground hugging suspension system
