Pottinger Lion Power harrow range now comes standard with tool free Quick Fit tines for 2006. This upgrade in specification has also seen an increase in tine thickness and length. The new tines are 18mm thick and 320mm long making them the largest tine, standard on any power harrow available on the UK market today. The pedigree of Lion power harrows goes back many years through the Landsberg of Germany whom Pottinger acquired in 1975. With many years of power harrow manufacture behind them, Pottinger today puts that substantial knowledge to great use building robust, reliable and efficient power harrows. With a range stretching from 2.5 mtr to 6 mtr working widths Pottinger offers a comprehensive range of specification and options to suit all conditions. All Lion power harrows share the same machined in situ bearing housings in the trough. Unlike many competitors whom first machine housings then weld in place, Pottinger first weld in place then machine whilst fitted in the trough. This ensures there is no distortion or misalignment of the bearing holder due to the heat generated by welding. All harrows also feature maintenance free cam clutches and the added benefit of 1000 series offering an internal oil immersed cam clutch to cope with the demands placed upon these high specification machines by larger users.
