Best known for its comprehensive range of grassland harvesting equipment Pottinger is name you might not immediately associate with cultivation and sowing equipment. But this family business has been manufacturing a broad range of cultivation and sowing machinery for many decades.

Manufacturing from four factories across Europe, Pottinger has its dedicated seed drill plant in Bernberg, Northern Germany where it produces a full range of mounted and trailed seed drills.

Here with a 153 year history of seed drill manufacture, Pottinger benefit from a tremendous amount of experience, knowledge and tradition from its workforce.

The Aerosem range from Pottinger offers power harrow mounted drills with a range of working widths at 3, 4, 5 & 6 mtr.  This year sees the introduction of a new model the 3 and 4mtr “Aerosem Profiline”, designed to offer the ultimate in operator convenience and comfort.

Featuring Pottinger’s own Power Control system operators can remotely vary seed rates on the move; it also offers full management of tramline functions, a recordable seed library, performance monitor and Calibration Assist which ensures accurate calibration every time.

Hydraulic coulter pressure adjustment, vertical fold markers, hydraulic variable speed fan drive, fully adjustable Perfekt following harrow plus a full road lighting kit add to this impressive specification.  Pottinger offer a full range of coulters, Suffolk, SAX Disc and band coulters ensure that there is a system to suit all conditions.

Aerosem 3000 Profiline features a market leading standard 1,400 litre hopper capacity fitted with a weather proof steel folding lid. This is designed to cantilever fold completely back allowing easy filling with big bags.

When it comes to metering the seed Pottinger have their own unique metering system. Having been fitted to many thousands of drills over the last 7 years the metering unit requires no change of metering wheel for changes from large to small seeds. This ingenious system simply requires a lever to be moved before switching from say oil seed rape to wheat. This helps keep down time and costly mistakes to a minimum.
