POTTINGER NOVACAT V10
A completely new concept in tractor mounted mowing combinations from Pottinger has arrived in the shape of its Novacat V10 model. Pottinger has developed its Novacat V10 tractor mounted combination mower in an answer to demands from the market looking for working widths in excess of 8.8 metres without the need to move towards a self-propelled unit.. The Novacat V10 offers a working width range from 8.76 metre’s to a maximum of 10 metre’s with a unique hydraulic width adjustment system, this allows the operator to match overall mowing width to the conditions and available tractor horsepower. The V10 comprises of a pair of Novacat series mowers mounted on a hydraulically adjustable frame. The unit features a very generous overlap between the front mounted unit and both rear units which are set by the V10’s own control system, this ensures the prevention of striping when turning or working across hillsides. Fitted with full hydraulic breakaway devices and a hydraulic suspension system the Pottinger V10 is equipped to handle the high output demands of the most professional of users. The breakaway system ensures once tripped the mowing unit is returned to its working position hydraulically eliminating the need to reverse the unit to re-set it as common with many other manufacturers. As with all Pottinger mounted mowers the V10 features quick change blades, Pottinger built cutter bars and fully removable Extra Dry tined conditioners. This unique Pottinger system allows operators to interchange between operating as a mower conditioner or straight disc mower specification in around 15 minutes per mower. This flexibility allows operators to utilise one mowing set for many different crops and conditions. Even when leaving the field the unit does not require the operator to leave the cab everything including safety guards is folded hydraulically, keeping downtime to an absolute minimum. Pottinger offers the V10 with ISOBUS compatibility as standard allowing those with ISOBUS equipped tractors to take full advantage of integrated machine tractor control.
