The 'Alpha-motion' headstock is the latest 'Clever Farming' development from Pottinger. Here's a resume of the key features on these groundbreaking new concept front mowers:
• Provides more freedom of movement - 16 degrees sideways movement.
• 3.0m working width - in either plain 7-disc format (Novacat 306F) or with Extra Dry quick detach conditioner. Four drum versions also available
• 3.0m transport width - ideal for combination use with rear mowers.
• Headstock automatically adapts to ground contours - on slopes, the angle of inclination changes automatically to prevent either scalping or leaving long stubble. Even cutting = faster re-growth and less chance of soil contamination.
• Drive-line protection - vertical movement f the mower section protects the PTO shaft from excessive telescoping and reduces dynamic load factor.
• Great visibility to the mowing area - the headstock's wedge-shaped profile provides an excellent view to the front edge - particularly on tractors with forward sloping bonnets.
• Includes all the well-proven technology from Novacat Extra Dry - including ultra clean cutting Pottinger built disc cutter bars with quick-fit knives and the 'Y' tine rapid wilting and spreading near full-width conditioner.
