EVENT REPORT

Despite heavy rain in the run up to the event the weather stayed fine for both days of Grassland 2008. LandMec Pöttinger the British importer of Pöttinger was kept busy demonstrating a selection of Pöttinger grassland equipment. This was also joined by a range of machines working on the neighbouring Merlo plot with Pöttinger equipment fitted to the innovative Merlo MultiFarmer telehandler. 12,200 visitors saw the very best of existing and new models at work from Pöttinger; particular attention by visitors was paid to the 3 new models that were working: Jumbo Combiline, Novacat V10 and Novacat 3007 T.

With so many visitors over the 2 days we recorded a record number of sales enquiries and sold many of the demonstration machines directly from the plot.

We were also visited by farmers and contractors not only from Great Britain but from Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, Austria, Holland and Germany proving the unique appeal of this large working demonstration show.
