MOUNTED TEDDERS
Quality forage is the basis for high milk yield and meat production.
The implementation of technology is a determining factor in achieving
a successful harvest. In developing the EuroHit range of tedders Pottinger
has been aiming for high productivity and standards of excellence in
performance. The key objective is to harvest the highest quality of
forage in the shortest possible time at the minimum cost.
To meet this objective Pottinger tedders incorporate new tine mountings,
jockey wheels and shock absorber struts. Go ahead and compare - the

The EuroHit range of 4, 6 and 8 rotor hydraulic folding tedders are

To assist in your decision making process the chart
is an aid enabling you to match your tedder to your mower. The ideal
working position is to have a pair of rotors centred over each swath.
Choosing the correct Tedder:
The tractors wheels should straddle the swath and the two outer rotors
should not partially eat into the next swath. When set correctly, tedded
material should stay approximately within the working width of the machine,
i.e. the crop should not be thrown on the adjoining swath. PTO input
speed should never exceed 450rpm. Maximum width windrows should preferably
be formed when using wide mower conditioners, and forward speed moderated
on the spreading pass.
