Grassland makes an important contribution to the feeding of healthy, productive
livestock. High milk yield requires the best quality forage. The starting
point for high quality forage is a careful mowing process. Efficient ground-hugging,
low contamination and a quick, precise operation are the demands made
from the market. Engineering details and functions on machines contribute
significantly to harvesting quality forage.
At the turn of the decade, Pöttinger developed a cutter bar for their
range of mounted disc mowers to provide a technically leading range of
machines to satisfy the needs of farmers and contractors. Designed, manufactured
and developed by Pöttinger the cutter-bar has a clean, aerodynamic
profile. Combined with a big overlap via oval discs, cutting performance
has to be seen to be believed - even in the most difficult conditions.

The NovaDisc series of rear heel-mounted rear disc mowers is extended
to provide a triple mower combination for use with a front mounted mower
covering cutting widths from 7.24 to 8.92 metres with no inner shoe
offers full width mowing with optimum crop flow.

The NovaCat 8600 centre pivot disc triple mower combinations offers
the professional user the option of removable conditioner and a cross-conveyor
belt for swath collection. The NovaCat 8600 provides a cutting width
of 8.3 to 8.6 metres
