The Dairy Event and Livestock Show 2009
16/17th September 2009

This year’s event the last to be held at The Royal Showground, Stoneleigh Park was bustling with good optimism despite the low milk prices and recent industry troubles concerning the sudden demise of Dairy Farmers of Britain.
Visitors to our stand were able to inspect the Faro 3500L wagon, Novacat 306FED Alpha Motion and the well established MEX VI forage harvester. Interest this year was unprecedented in both forage wagon technology and MEX VI forage harvester systems, with a substantial amount of enquiries being taken for both systems alongside enquiries for other Pottinger grassland machines. We spoke to many existing users of Pottinger machinery from across the British Isles whom were without exception complimentary about the performance of their Pottinger machines.

Tillage - South Down Ampney, Gloucestershire

With the last few weeks being without rain the ground conditions at this year’s Southern Tillage demonstration event were hard going to say the least. Visitors were certainly pleased that they would see all the equipment on the 20 working demonstration plots given a reasonable test in this Gloucestershire brash clay loam soil.

Power in Action, Hyde Parker Farms, Long Melford, Suffolk.

Held every 2 years Power in Action this year celebrated its 30th anniversary and has seen this local tillage demonstration event become more of a regional event since it began in 1979. Despite some parts of the UK suffering record rainfall levels in the past few weeks this part of Eastern England has really seen no rain for many weeks now and this was certainly evident judging by the hard ground conditions at this year’s event. The host farm this year was Hyde Parker Farms at Long Melford whom have just taken delivery of a brand new Pottinger C6 Terrasem seed drill and we were pleased to have this on display on our plot throughout the duration of the event.
