NEW AREA MANAGER APPOINTMENT
Richard Stevens
LandMec Pottinger is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Stevens as Area Manager for the Eastern Counties of England. Richard will commence his duties from 2nd August and will be directly responsible for sales and dealer support from Lincolnshire in the north to Essex in the south.

Royal Welsh Show, Builth Wells, Wales

Despite the ominous weather forecasts, in the main the Royal Welsh Show this year attracted some perfect weather with the sun shining down and the odd exceptionally heavy rain shower. This good weather helped swell the attendance to a huge 231,000 people, many of whom made a visit to the LandMec Pöttinger stand throughout the four days of the show. Click here to read more ...

New Pöttinger Global Sales Manager sets the sails
The sales team looks to a positive future

From 1 August 2010 Dr Martin Schädle will take over global sales management of agricultural machinery at Pöttinger. Customer proximity, innovative sales structures and clear lines of communications are pillars that carry Pöttinger's success forward. The current ten sales subsidiaries present an enormous challenge for the Sales Management Team. The new Global Sales Manager plans to co-ordinate and create future growth.

Cereals 2010 - Chrishall Grange, Royston

In line with our increasing tillage machinery sales and presence in the arable farming sector we took an 80% larger stand at this years Cereals event. With three new products to launch to UK farmers and contractors, we also invested in a 15m x 9m marquee to house the Terrasem C6 and new Vitasem A302 mounted seed drill. This marquee also proved a great venue for us to offer some hospitality to existing and prospective customers whilst discussing the products on display. Click here to read more ...

POTTINGER TERRASEM C6 proves a hit in Suffolk

Nick Huxtable (inset), Farm Manager for Hyde Parker Farms of Long Melford, Suffolk, says the Pottinger Terrasem C6 drill simply eclipsed other drills the farm had on demonstration.
For Hyde Parker Farms of Long Melford, Suffolk, replacing their aging 6m trailed tine seed drill started a thorough process of researching a potential replace-ment which would fit in with their future plans for crop establish-ment. The decision to replace the farm’s seed drill was also fuelled by a desire to reduce the amount of ploughing undertaken to about 25% of previous levels in an effort to help reduce establish-ment workload and costs

SCOTGRASS, CRICHTON ROYAL, DUMFRIES

This year it was the turn of Scotland to play host to the national working grassland demonstration returning to the same venue as in 2007. Despite some bitterly cold temperatures in the weeks leading up to the event and even a ground frost on the morning of the demonstration there was a reasonable crop of grass on our 4 acre plot.

EMYR EVANS LTD - NORTH WALES GRASSLAND DEMONSTRATION DAY
This MF / Fendt dealer has two depots – one at Denbigh and the other at Gaerwen, Anglesey. The Evans family took on the Pottinger franchise three years ago and decided to give this new venture a boost by having a Working Demo Day at Glynllifon College.

BURDEN BROS AGRI LTD - WORKING TILLAGE DEMONSTRATION
One of the best days so far this year saw Burden Brothers Agri Ltd hold a working tillage field demonstration day just outside the town of Ringmer, East Sussex. The weather was excellent and dried out the previously very wet conditions, with the demo field still under water a week before!
